President: Marc Ritchie - Marc is an Architectural Conservation Advisor with the Architectural Heritage Advisory Unit of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. For many years the Brú na Bóinne UNESCO World Heritage Site was among his areas of responsibility. Coordinated development of the Government Policy on Architecture 2009-2015.

Vice President: Helena Bergin - Helena is Conservation Officer for Fingal County Council and former Chairperson of the Association of Architectural Conservation Officers (AACO).


Ordinary Members

Jill Chadwick is the former Conservation Officer of Meath County Council. She previously worked as an architect in both public and private sectors.

Dr. Catherine Gorman is a lecturer with Dublin Institute of Technology’s School of Hospitality Management and Tourism where she teaches Culture, Heritage and Tourism, Sustainable Tourism and aspects of tourism development and marketing. She has also worked within the tourism industry both in a development and marketing capacity and has also worked for public sector and private tourism bodies.

Bill Hastings is a Conservation Architect and lecturer with UCD School of Architecture.  He is Managing Director of ARC Architectural Consultants which is a multi-disciplinary consultancy working in the areas of architectural design, conservation, environment, graphic design, surveying, digital modeling, photomontages, etc.    

Nicola Matthews is the Conservation Officer for Dublin City Council.  She has also worked as a conservation architect in the private sector.

Dr. Elene Negussie is an urban geographer and previously worked as a lecturer in Cultural Heritage and Historic Urban Landscapes with the UCD World Heritage Management Programme. She is a member of the ICOMOS International Committee on Historic Towns and Villages. Elene is World Heritage Site Manager of the Hanseatic Town of Visby, Sweden.

Clare Tuffy works with the OPW and is Manager of the Brú na Bóinne World Heritage Site.  Brú na Bóinne is one of only two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Republic of Ireland.

Geraldine Walsh is CEO of Dublin Civic Trust. The Trust is an independent charitable organisation that works to recognise and protect the city’s architectural heritage through research, innovation projects, policy, publications, seminars and courses.
