ICHNSC Committee Members

The National Scientific Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage (NSCICH) was established in order to promote the protection of Ireland's Intangible Cultural Heritage under the auspices of ICOMOS Ireland. The initiative for the establishment of the Committee arose out of a meeting of the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage which was held in Dublin in October 2010. All ICOMOS Ireland members with a particular interest in intangible cultural heritage are invited to join.

 

The Committee's officers and members are as follows:

President: Professor Ríonach uí Ógáin, Director of Cnuasach Bhéaloideas Éireann/The National Folklore Collection, University College Dublin

Vice-President: Terry Moylan, Na Píobairí Uileann/The Society of Uileann Pipers

Secretary: Bairbre Ní Fhloinn, Lecturer in Irish Folklore, University College Dublin.

 

Ordinary Members:

Elene Negussie, Lecturer in the World Heritage Management Programme, University College Dublin.

Jack Harrison, Heritage Consultant and Lecturer in Heritage Studies, National University of Ireland, Galway

Paul McMahon, Senior Architect, Office of Public Works
